ÖGAI Prizes


This year's ÖGAI Prizes haven been awarded in context with the Next Generation ÖGAIng on November 12, 2018

The CLEMENS VON PIRQUET Prize for most excellent publications in the field of allergologic research with 4.000,- Euro is sponsored by Bencard.

Katarzyna Niespodziana, from the Institute of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research of the Centre for Pathophysiology, Infectiology and Immunology of the Medical U niversity of Vienna was awarded the CLEMENS VON PIRQUET PREIS for her work "PreDicta chip-based high resolution diagnosis of rhinovirus-induced wheeze“ published in Nat Commun. 2018 Jun 18;9(1):2382.
 
The ÖGAI THESIS PRIZE with 1.500,- € was awarded to Luca Pangrazzi from the Institute for Biomedical Aging Research from the Medical University of Innsbruck for his work "Immunological memory in the bone marrow in old age".
 
The URSULA and FRITZ MELCHERS THESIS PRIZE with 1.500,- € was awarded to Lorenz Gregor Aglasfrom the Department of Molecular Biology of the University of Salzburg fpr his work "Intrinsic properties of the Bet v 1 fold: impact on immunogenicity and allergenicity" .
 

On occasion of the  Next Generation ÖGAIng BEST PRESENTATION PRIZES have been awarded:

The Prize for the best KISS Video in the field Allergology was awarded to Joao Rodrigues Grilo, Institute of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research of the Medical University of Vienna for his presentation: „Cross-blocking activity of specific antibodies induced by SLIT with rBet v 1„

The Prize for the best KISS Video in the field of Immunology was awarded to Marlene Gerner, University Department for Laboratory Medicine of the Medical University of Vienna, for her work: „ROS-induced autophagy regulates CD39 expression on human regulatory T-cells„

The prize for the best Science Interview in the field of Immunology was awarded to Johanna Strobl, Department of Dermatology, medical University of Vienna, for her presentation „Low-input RNA sequencing reveals survival program of human skin-resident T cells during complete myeloablation„

The prize for the best Science Interview in teh field of allergoloyg was awarded to Ursula Smole, Institute of Immunology, Medical University of Vienna, for her presentation „FPR2 controls ILC2 functions in allergic airway inflammation„
